Intellectual Forum International Workshop Series on Public Health, 2022
Drawing from the Intellectual Forum's own researchers and experts and beyond, across 2022 we offered a series of workshops on public health. These enriching development programmes involve various opportunities for cross-cultural learning between public health professionals.
The weekly series included online sessions on:
- 18 October: Dr Rosalind Parkes-Ratanshi on HIV/AIDS and TB
- 20 October: Dr Elinor Moore on ID control (including vaccines, in-hospital immunisation programmes and infection control)
- 5 November: Dr Aula Abbara on Antimicrobial resistance
- 11 November: Professor Giles Yeo on Nutrition and metabolic disorders
- 11 November: Professor Gordon Harold on Mental health (depression, substance problems etc)
- 25 November: Dr Sarah Steele on Behavioural interventions in violence against women and girls
- 1 December: Dr Gemma Bowsher on Climate change, environment and health
- 8 December: Dr Sridhar Venkatapuram on Culture, diversity and inequalities in public health
- 15 December: Dr Sridhar Venkatapuram on Ethical decision making in public health
- 16 December: Dr Yvonne Walburga on Epidemiology and global burden of disease
- 30th December: Dr Gemma Bowsher on Qualitative approaches to research and writing
- 13 January: Dr Sarah Steele on Policy implications for professionals (NCD focus)
