Join us for a conversation with Rory Cellan-Jones as he discusses how his undergraduate studies at Jesus served as a catalyst for a successful career in journalism at the BBC. 

Through reflections on his travels and year abroad, his talk at the Intellectual Forum will offer a glimpse into the impact these experiences had on his understanding of culture and its intersection with journalism.

About the speaker

Rory Cellan-Jones spent 40 years as a BBC News technology correspondent. He recently published Ruskin Park: Sylvia, Me and the BBC, a memoir about his experience uncovering long held secrets from his family history. This year, Rory documented his journey with rescue dog Sophie on Twitter/X with the trending hashtag #SophieFromRomania.

This event is being co-hosted by the Modern & Medieval Languages and Linguistics Society at Jesus College, Cambridge.
