Interview skills workshops
Students from the North East who’ve been invited to interview at Oxford or Cambridge can attend our online interview skills workshops, run in partnership with King’s College, Cambridge and the Oxford for NE consortium.
We’ll be running four one hour workshops, each focused on a different subject area:
- Arts and Humanities: Tuesday 24 November
- Medical Sciences: Wednesday 25 November
- Sciences: Thursday 26 November
- Social Sciences: Friday 27 November
Each session will run from 16:30 to 17:30.
Interview skills
Each workshop will start off with a general interview skills session, led by a Schools Liaison and student ambassadors. We’ll discuss how you might want to prepare for your interview, what skills interviewers may be looking for, and how virtual interviews may differ from traditional in-person interviews.
Subject-specific Q&A sessions
In the second half of the workshop, you’ll be able to speak to student ambassadors who applied for the same subject as you, or a similar one. You can hear about their experiences at interview, and ask any specific questions you have about the interview process for your subject.
