Esther Wojcicki on "How to Raise Successful People"

The Intellectual Forum is was to host the ‘Godmother of Silicon Family’, also dubbed the “Panda Mom”, Esther Wojcicki to talk about her new book How to Raise Successful People.

The former journalist, known affectionately as “Woj” to students who pass through her programme, is the mother of YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki, 23andMe Co-Founder and CEO Anne Wojcicki, and Fulbright Scholar and Professor of Pediatrics at UCSF Janet Wojcicki. Wojcicki’s methods are the opposite of helicopter parenting and have been lauded by the likes of Steve Jobs and James Franco, who credits his success with Esther’s belief in him. The approach is about deep nurturing to encourage independence, responsibility, self-motivation and success in children - and adults!

At this event, Woj discussed her new book and offer insight into her philosophy. She talked about How to Raise Successful People and explore her proposition ‘Change your parenting, change the world.’
