Conversational Afternoon Tea with the MCR - cancelled
Cambridge is a place where you can meet people from all over the world. Sometimes it can be challenging, especially for non-native English speakers, to talk in English and to understand the large variety of accents - whether they are British (e.g. Scottish or Irish accents) or international (e.g. French or Indian accents).
To support our international students in overcoming that challenge, we're holding conversational English afternoon teas, hosted by the MCR International Officer as part of the Postgraduate Development Programme.
All current members of the MCR are invited to join and improve their language skills by chatting in a warm and friendly atmosphere with about hobbies, food, sports etc. Native English speakers who would like to support their fellow international students are very welcome too.
Afternoon tea will be served, including tea, coffee and cakes.
Sessions are planned for alternate Sundays during term time, with this one on Sunday, 03 May 2020, 3pm to 5pm in the Prioress's Room.
