We will be joined by:

Isabelle Brawn (2015) is a London-based singer-songwriter and music producer. In the past year she has been featured as a vocalist and co-writer on a number of Drum & Bass tracks under the stage name BRAVVN, which has earned her over 100 000 monthly listeners. While continuing to collaborate with dance music artists, Isabelle is gearing up to launch her self-produced indie pop project under the new alias Bella Jeanne.

In addition to pursuing a career as a songwriter and performer, Isabelle is an assistant professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she completed a masters in Electronic and Produced music following her undergraduate studies at Cambridge.

Eli Brechbühl (2021), a Swiss PhD student in Medical Science, weaves a rich tapestry of experiences across continents, combining research and music.

Her scholarly path winds through the hills of Materials Science, Engineering, and Biomedical Imaging. As a PhD student, she currently develops new strategies to image cancer and its responses to therapy, using Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Photoacoustic Imaging and Near-Infrared Fluorescence. Her work transcends mere data; a strong link to clinical applications and patient impact drives her research.

Beyond the lab coat, as Eli Bre, she is also a singer/songwriter. From writing songs as a teenager in her room, to performing in Madrid, London and New York and currently working on her third studio album, she has come a long way.

Additionally, Eli is student representative for her institute, supporting PhD students and fostering collaboration between them. PhD courses can be a solitary affair, so complementing the intellect of her research with the emotion of making music, Eli believes, makes her a better scientist.
