Academic Writing Seminar for Postgraduate Students
The Postgraduate Development Programme has organised seminars and individual follow-up sessions on academic writing skills entitled, "Academic Writing: Words, Texts and Ideas".
These will be run by David Abbott, a qualified teacher and former lecturer, who has published in his field.
If you are trying to get to grips with academic writing in any discipline, are overwhelmed by how much you have to write, or are unsure about the written rules of academic style, this seminar is for you.
David will be giving two seminars (the second a repeat of the first) in the Bawden Room on 12 February and again on 26 February at 6 - 7pm.
A few days later, he then offers a 30-minute 1-2-1 session in the early evening to help you with a specific piece of academic writing that you are working on. Individual sessions will be bookable on Moodle and a link will be emailed to all current postgraduate students at the beginning of Lent term. There is no charge.
