Jesus Alumna sings the national anthem at the Six Nations

On Saturday 3 February 2024, Jesus alumna, Olympia Hetherington, sung the English national anthem prior to the game against Italy in Rome in week one of this year's Six Nations.

It was a successful weekend for England who won 27-24.

Olympia is a British mezzo-soprano living in Tuscany, Italy, where she regularly performs in the concert venues of Lucca, Forte dei Marmi and Florence. She began singing as a chorister in Salisbury Cathedral before coming up to Jesus College in 2007 to read Classics as a choral scholar. Since then, she has developed a successful international career, performing in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Italy.
