Cambridge Peking University China Centre at Jesus College

The College has signed an agreement with Peking University to establish the Cambridge Peking University China Centre at Jesus College.

The Centre will encompass a range of activities, including think-tank studies, joint interdisciplinary research, and student exchanges.

The agreement was signed at Peking University on 15th April by Professor Ian White, Master of Jesus College, and Dr Li Yansong, Vice-President of Peking University. Professor Sir Leszek Borysiewicz, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, and Professor Lin Jianhua, President of Peking University, were also present at the ceremony.

Professor White said: “The establishment of a joint China Centre by Peking University and Jesus College will contribute to the study, research and understanding of contemporary China and its global prominence. Recognising the outstanding reputation and success of Peking University, we are delighted that the Cambridge Peking University China Centre is to be housed in our new West Court development.”
