Hong Kong 2016

In April 2016, the Mixed Choir travelled to Hong Kong and Beijing for a week-long tour.

In Hong Kong, the Choir gave a concert at St John's Cathedral in addition to performing at a number of events for alumni and other guests. Choir members were privileged to visit the Western Monastery and to perform at events celebrating the achievements of Professor Jao Tsung-i, a renowned Chinese scholar, and the revered Buddhist monk, Master Chin Kung. The Choir also sang at the Hong Kong launch of the University of Cambridge 'Yours, Cambridge' Campaign, in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor and over 400 guests.

In Beijing, the Choir visited the Forbidden City and performed for alumni before spending a day at Peking University. The tour culminated in a joint performance between students of PKU and Jesus College Choir in Peking University's magnificent Centennial Hall.
