Lee is an Intellectual Forum Visiting Scholar.
Lee Chalmers is a Leadership Development Consultant, Researcher, and equalities activist working with senior leaders in corporates, academia, and the third sector across the globe.
She is particularly interested in how leadership of the self impacts leadership of organisations and how this can impact society for the better. She has been active in gender equality efforts for nearly 20 years: starting a women’s network; founding Elect Her, a UK social enterprise to get more women elected into UK Councils and Parliaments; running for election to the Scottish Parliament for the Women’s Equality Party; and creating a series of online programmes for midlife women called Midlife Revolution.
Her recent Doctoral research was on women’s experiences of online abuse and she is particularly interested in how gendered power dynamics show up in online spaces and shape societal conversations. She has two degrees in Philosophy, a Master's degree in Gender and Social Policy, a Postgraduate Certificate in Social and Political Science, and a Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is currently studying for an MA in Psychosynthesis Psychology and a Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling. She is certified in a number of psychometrics and systems thinking tools and is a Master Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation.
