Chef de Partie
Jesus College is seeking to appoint a talented Chef de Partie to work as part of the highly successful and forward-thinking kitchen team. We are seeking an experienced and competent individual who has the skills and confidence to hit the ground running. You will be able to take direction but also be relied upon to work without close supervisions as you will deliver high standards meals to both internal and external users of the catering areas. If you have the ambition to grow, up for a new challenge and you think you can add benefit to the role and the catering and conference function at the College.
The successful candidate will be expected to prepare, cook and present food as directed by the Head Chef/Sous Chef across all the College’s kitchen operations and be comfortable working in all sections of the kitchen. They will take responsibility for some aspects of the kitchen and oversee the running of the section the CdP is rostered on, including ensuring the procurement of ingredients in collaboration with the HD/SC is managed, They will always maintain hygiene and food safety standards and follow all food safety and health and safety policies in place. They will also ensure careful cost and resources control to minimise wastage and manage and train others who maybe working in the same section.
