Lewis Westwood Flood

Lewis was an intern at the Intellectual Forum in 2022.

Within his degree, Lewis paid particular attention to the way that politics, social movements, economics, and emerging technologies intersect.

In his internship, Lewis focussed on fundraising and 'transparent' disbursement platforms and how they interact with, impose limits on, and potentially present legal and operational risks to groups which operate in areas which are increasingly legally problematic (especially in the US - for example reproductive and transgender rights). This area has seen a huge growth throughout the pandemic, however it remains under-researched. 

Going forward, Lewis is interested in exploring assumptions about technology and socio-political issues, and working to ensure technology actually works for people and movements.
