In addition to individuals who have already started their academic career, or are finishing their graduate studies in Law, the College is equally interested in individuals with some teaching experience considering a switch from legal practice to academia.

The successful applicant will be expected to undertake up to ten hours a week of small-group teaching (supervision) in Law, to direct studies in Parts of the Law Tripos and/or the LLM/MCL, to play an active part in the organisation and support of the subject within the College, including helping with undergraduate admissions, to engage in research and publication of international quality, and to undertake other College offices or duties appropriate to an early-career appointment if asked to do so by Council.
