Assistant Librarian (x 2 posts)

The Quincentenary Library was designed by the architects Evans and Shalev, and was officially opened by the Queen in March 1996 to commemorate the 500 year anniversary of the foundation of Jesus College.

We are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Librarian and an Assistant Librarian (Academic Services), to help the Quincentenary Librarian in the delivery of high quality and efficient information systems and library services. You will have a strong service ethos based on continual improvement of services and a responsive approach to the needs of library users. The Assistant Librarian’s role is to help with the provision of day-to-day library services including returns, shelving and supervision of the library in the absence of the Librarian and to develop, administer, promote, deliver and evaluate an innovative academic skills programme.

The Quincentenary Library is the College's working library. We have over 60,000 books and other resources covering most of the taught courses in the University. You can find us in Library Court on the main College site.
