Archivist

Jesus College Cambridge are seeking to appoint an experienced Archivist responsible for the professional management and administration of the College Archives and other related heritage collections. The purpose of the role is to ensure that the College’s historic records are preserved and to make them available for educational and scholarly purposes.

The Archivist is also responsible for the security, care and use of Archives, archaeological finds and other historic objects. You will take a strategic overview of the long-term requirements for the archive’ presentation, and contribute to planning for their future care.

You will be particularly committed to assisting researchers who have an interest in the College’s history or wish to use its records for purposes or research. Archival material illustrating College History in wider context and the work of the Archivist will be publicised through regular exhibitions, the College website, social media and College publications.
