Dr Sarah Carden

Sarah is an Intellectual Forum Research Associate.

Sarah is a medical scientist who completed her PhD at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. She is currently the Sustainability Strategy Coordinator on the University of Cambridge Environmental Sustainability Team.

Through collaborating with the East of England NHS Sustainability Network on a project to develop a framework for targeting net zero within the NHS, Sarah has developed a particular interest in sustainability and global health. She hopes to use her position at the Intellectual Forum to lead research-driven projects in a number of areas including rapid decarbonisation of the healthcare system, sustainable healthcare teaching and greener practice.

Sarah is interested in using case studies (particularly from countries in the Global South) to identify best practice in a number of scenarios, and build a knowledge base and framework(s) to develop climate resilience in healthcare and beyond.
