Educational programmes and training

The IF runs a range of educational and training programmes. Our programmes can be tailored for large or small groups, directed to individuals, organisations, government groups, or businesses, and can be delivered in-person, virtually or in a blended format.

Drawing on developed expertise across Jesus College, the University of Cambridge, and the City of Cambridge, the Intellectual Forum offers bespoke programmes of learning covering of a range of topics tailored for your group. Be it a virtual, blended, or in-person programme, your group will emerge with new insights, having been encouraged and inspired. Ranging from a single half-day session to weeks-long visits, we offer each group time to collaborate with a diverse set of peers, colleagues, and leaders from a range of fields, enriching participants’ learning as well as their network.

For in-person sessions, groups experience the College’s facilities which are set in the heart of the University and in a leading centre of technology, biomedicine, and innovation. Not only are we one of the world’s finest academic institutions but we also can draw on the start-ups of the 'Silicon Fen'. Our programmes are led by experts from a variety of fields in the University of Cambridge and wider UK community. Groups engage with these experts in interactive discussions and workshops, while enjoying breaks that allow participants to stroll past historic sites and famous colleges; we can even arrange tours, punting, and a chance to hear the College and Chapel Choirs sing evensong in our 12th Century Chapel.

For more information or to discuss your programme needs, please email IF Deputy Director Dr Eleanor O'Gorman, who leads on our educational programmes. Our Data Protection page has information about how we deal with your data.
