Professional and continuing education programmes

The Intellectual Forum runs a range of executive, professional, visiting and continuing education programmes across the year, both inside and outside of term time. Our programmes can be tailored to for large or small groups, and we also offer a range of programmes online for individuals and businesses.

Do you want to hone your team's or student's existing skills or learn new ones yourself? Are you looking to push yourself forward in your career, learn to drive others to new heights, or even reinvent your career?  Do you want to experience the UK and the University of Cambridge, making new connections and expanding your network? If you answered yes to any of these, our programmes are for you.

The Intellectual Forum at Jesus College, Cambridge, offers a range of different opportunities that can be calibrated for those looking to develop core business, leadership or professional competencies, or to drive forward already developed skills. We also offer a range of programmes for those looking to learn about the UK and Cambridge, gaining cultural context and exposure, while offering universities the opportunity to send their students abroad to us on short programmes that complement their home studies. Designed to accommodate busy schedules, our programmes can be online or intensive, or both, and can range from a single half-day session to weeks long.

Drawing on developed expertise across the College, University and City of Cambridge, we can provide coverage of a range of topics suitable for professionals in a variety of industries and markets, or for students on a wide array of courses. Upon completion of a programme, you will return to your position or career with the training and strategies to be more successful, and upon arrangement either a certificate of participation or completion, and even CPD credit (where advertised).

For in-person sessions, you will experience the College’s facilities which are set in the heart of a leading centre of technology, biomedicine, and innovation. You’ll be learning at one of the world’s finest academic institutions and can draw on the start-ups of the 'Silicon Fen'. Our programmes are led by experts from a variety of fields in the University of Cambridge and wider UK community. You’ll engage with them in interactive discussions and workshops, while enjoying breaks that allow you to stroll past historic sites and famous colleges; we can even arrange group tours, punting, and a chance to hear the College Choir sing evensong in our Chapel, which dates back to the 12th Century.

You’ll also collaborate with a diverse set of peers, colleagues and leaders from a range of industries, enriching your learning and your professional network. You’ll encounter various perspectives that can help you see your staff, work, professional life, or business in new ways, stepping outside of your everyday routine and challenging yourself. Here, you can reflect on your practice, management or leadership style, and consider ways you can improve, innovate or disrupt. You can learn how to reframe the issue you face and see them in new ways that help you—and your organisation—to succeed.

Be it a virtual, blended or in-person programme, our participants emerge with new insight, having been encouraged and inspired.
