Noel Rutter is the Director of Undergraduate Teaching in Materials Science in the University of Cambridge and Director of Studies in Sciences at Jesus College.

Biography

Having studied Materials Science in Cambridge (BA 1997, PhD 2001), Noel Rutter spent two years working for the US Department of Energy at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and later one year in an industrial research role at SuperPower inc., a world leading developer of superconducting cables.

He is now is the Director of Undergraduate Teaching in the Department of Materials Science at the University of Cambridge and Admissions Tutor for Sciences at Jesus College. His academic post is specifically focused on teaching and in addition to coordinating and delivering undergraduate courses, he is the Director of Education for the School of the Physical Sciences.
