Dr Anik Halder
Anik Halder is a postdoctoral research associate at the Institute of Astronomy.
Academic interests
Anik Halder’s academic interests include:
- Weak gravitational lensing and large-scale structure cosmology
- Explainable Artificial Intelligence (xAI) methods
- Random Matrix Theory.
Anik's research focuses on investigating the large-scale structure of our cosmos using the effect of gravitational lensing. Specifically, he works towards bridging theory and observations: in the development, and analyses of higher-order statistical methods in gravitational lensing galaxy survey data to further our insights into the cosmological and astrophysical processes of our Universe.
Degrees obtained
- BSc Physics, Jacobs University Bremen, 2017.
- MSc Astrophysics, Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, 2020.
- PhD Physics, Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, 2024.
Awards and prizes
- DAAD (German Academic Exchange) RISE Worldwide Scholar 2016, 2017.
