Postgraduate Induction Day
The Graduate Tutors welcome new postgraduate students with a programme of induction activities to introduce key members of the College community who will be supporting you whilst you study with us in Cambridge.
The induction programme begins with tea and cakes in the Orchard, where you will be able to meet the Graduate Tutors and other new postgraduate students. Your College Contacts, who are Fellows either in your discipline or in a closely related discipline, will also be invited.
This is followed by a series of short presentations, to be held in the Frankopan Hall, from the Graduate Tutor, key members of College support staff, and the MCR President to introduce their roles to you within the College community. In the early evening, a special Choral Evensong for postgraduate freshers will be held in the College Chapel. In the evening, the MCR organise a formal Reception and Induction Hall, which traditionally includes post-dinner entertainment whereby the Graduate Tutors get three minutes each to present their research to you.
These events are only for postgraduate freshers who are beginning their new courses in Michaelmas term 2019. More details will be made available during August and published on the Postgraduate Freshers' Information page on JNet (access for College members only).
