Chaired by Dr Jeremy Green, Lecturer in International Political Economy and a Fellow of Jesus College, this PSA British and Comparative Political Economy Specialist Group event will explore change in uncertain political times.

Recent events in the UK and US have reinforced the sense of a period of ‘great uncertainty’.  This has generated a greater need for political economists and political scientists to foresee coming events. This event aims to bring together relevant experts and the general public to reflect on the study of the future within political economy and political science, and indeed the issues of temporality and generational upheaval within the social, political and economic spheres more generally.

The panel includes Jeremy Green and Helen Thompson from the University of Cambridge; Joel Faulkner Rogers, academic director, YouGov; Glen O’Hara, Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Oxford Brookes University and Paul Krishnamurty, the Political Gambler.

There will also be a strong emphasis on audience participation. Avoiding the traditional model of equivalent events, interactive sessions will be incorporated into the discussion to bring in as many voices and ideas as possible. Visit Eventbrite to book your free ticket.
