From home schooling to domestic violence to education and child marriage, the pandemic has disproportionately affected women, increasing a gender gap already far too wide.

Join Dr Anita Zaidi, Professor Stephen Toope, and three remarkable Gates Cambridge Scholars, Tara Cookson, Shadrack Frimpong (Jesus College, 2020) and Sharmila Parmanand, for an inspirational discussion about advancing the rights of women and multiplying human resources for good, across the globe.

Together, they will discuss a new future — one where the gender gap is closed, and every human being has the possibility to reach their full potential.

Bill Gates will welcome everyone with a tribute to the Gates Cambridge Scholarship Programme, a legacy of his father, Bill Gates Sr, whose vision inspired a landmark gift from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. That gift paved the way for Gates Cambridge Scholars to fulfil their mission to make the world a better place.
