In conversation with Chris Boardman MBE
Chris Boardman is a cyclist, presenter, businessman, and now the Cycling and Walking Commissioner for Greater Manchester.
As a racer he won Olympic Gold, wore the Yellow Jersey of the Tour de France, and broke the Hour record on numerous occasions. Nicknamed ‘the Professor’ he pioneered efforts to apply technology such as wind tunnels to improve bike design and rider performance.
After retiring from racing he founded Boardman Bikes, and was appointed as the first Cycling and Walking Commissioner for Greater Manchester, using his skills and experience to improve active travel opportunities for all.
