Learning through play is a fundamental part of early childhood development.

Children in early years and reception use continuous provision on a daily basis to embed and further their learning, but these benefits are not just restricted to the Early Years Foundation Stage. PGCE student Imogen will be discussing the importance of continuous provision and the benefits of this in KS1, and how to implement this in the classroom.

This taster session is for Year 12 students, from UK state schools, who will be applying to university in the next academic year (2021-22). It's ideal for students looking to apply for Education at highly selective universities, or who are thinking about completng a PGCE and becoming a teacher once they finish their undergraduate degree. We'll give priority to students from our link areas in Tyne and Wear, Brent, Ealing, Westminster and Peterborough, but we hope to be able to accommodate everyone who applies.
