Join us at this special In the Business of event, hosted by the Master, to celebrate the College week of Entrepreneurship with Isabella Vahdati and Vanessa Macalliver. Current students can register for free via Eventbrite.

Isabella Vahdati (2015) graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge in 2018 with a degree in Land Economy. Following her graduation, she joined Accenture as a consultant where she gained experience supporting clients on digital transformations, developing sustainability strategies and working with start-ups. Isabella then joined Emex, a software company which supports organisations with their ESG management and reporting processes, as a Sustainability Analyst. Isabella has since progressed to VP Strategy where she supports the company with raising capital, identifying new market opportunities and ensuring business wide coordination and communication.

Vanessa Macalliver (2008) is a Co-founder of xtonnes, software which helps businesses, particularly in the manufacturing and design sectors, to quantify and reduce their carbon footprints. Vanessa studied History at Jesus and graduated in 2011. Following a year in Latin America learning Spanish, she joined the Bank of England where she worked on bank note policy and then corporate strategy. She studied for an MBA at IESE Business School in Barcelona, and subsequently joined the Boston Consulting Group back in London, where she focused on designing and delivering data-driven transformation and large-scale national programmes, across the public sector, financial institutions, telecoms, energy and retail. Following BCG she got a government department’s digital transformation off the ground, and then joined Carbon13, the venture builder for the climate emergency, where she met her two co-founders, and joined xtonnes.
