Join us at this special In the Business of Panel Event, chaired by the Master to explore more about careers in Retail, Branding and Consultancy. Current students can register for free via Eventbrite.

We are delighted to be joined by the following panelists:

Duncan Brewer (2002)

Duncan is a partner in EY-Parthenon in the Retail & Consumer Products team, Ernst & Young LLP. He has 15 years of experience helping leading consumer-facing businesses grow. He helps his clients understand their customers better and make faster fact-based decisions – from top-level strategy to tactical day-by-day implementation. Before starting his career in consulting, Duncan worked in the defense engineering sector, and studied engineering at Jesus College.

Emma Drewett (2017)

Emma graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge in 2020 with a degree in English. Following her graduation, she gained experience at a Presentation/Design agency, before obtaining her place on the Tesco Business Graduate scheme. Emma now works at Tesco PLC as an Assistant Buyer in ‘Food to Go’. Within her role, Emma must regularly balance the analytical with the creative. One day includes planning promotions, conducting market research, and leveraging data to inform strategic decisions for her category. The next brings negotiating with suppliers, reviewing product quality, and innovating with developers to introduce new and exciting foods to Front of Store.

Derek West (1979)

Is a freelance management consultant and trainer, combining consultancy projects with the delivery of management and financial training courses. He has considerable experience of running major change programmes in a variety of organisations, notably in the retail, manufacturing and nuclear energy industries, and in the public sector. Derek currently runs virtual training across the world for a global consultancy firm
