Eliza Bond

Eliza graduated from Jesus College in 2021 with a BA in Law.

Her final year dissertation, which received a distinction, focused on private law actions for unwanted pregnancies. It argued that the law of tort should move away from the ‘harm-based’ paradigm, and towards an approach based on rights.

At the Intellectual Forum, she is assisting Dr Sarah Steele with her work on active bystander training in both Medicine and Law. She will also be auditing the Australian National University ‘#MeToo and the Law’ course.

Eliza is set to start the BCL at Oxford in October. She is interested in private law, and hopes to practise at the Commercial or Tax Bar.
