David Tyrrall

David is an Intellectual Forum Senior Research Associate.

After reading History at Jesus College, Cambridge, David Tyrrall worked as an accountant and finance director in the chemicals, oil, and rail sectors.

He moved to academia to lecture and research in accounting and business. From there, he moved to working on accounting and audit law in the civil service in both the UK and the EU. Although retired, he is currently Visiting Professor of Accounting and Policy at Staffordshire University, and is still undertaking research projects.
