Cyril Page Gore Saunders, Captain, Loyal North Lancashire Regiment
Cyril Page Gore Saunders was educated at Eastbourne College and came up in October 1914 as one of 27 freshmen.

Fell in action: 27 September 1916
He received a commission in December 1914, spent 10 months with the Loyal North Lancashire regiment before heading to the front in October 1915. According to his obituary while home on a short leave in March 1916, he married Gladys Clayton of Felixstowe.
“[He] was instantly killed by the bursting of a shell on September 27 1916” (Jesus College Society Annual Report, 1917, p36).
