Event organisation
Throughout your journey with us your booking will be treated with meticulous care and attention to detail. On the day, we deliver a stress-free experience enabling event organsiers and delegates to focus on the content of the event and enjoy our hospitality.
Exquisite catering
Jesus College has a long-standing reputation for fantastic food and drink. Our team of chefs, led by Tom Stewart, prepare and deliver an incredible range of catering for both College and commercial dining. With a keen eye on sustainability, Jesus College limits ruminant meat and encourages event organisers to select "chefs choice" so that menus are both delicious and less wasteful.
Our highly professional front of house team ensure that everything runs smoothly for your dining experience and are on hand to ensure you have everything you need.
Audio Visual and event set up
Our friendly and very knowledgeable on-site audio visual technician Mark Cresswell has a background in sound engineering. He is particularly responsible for the outstanding facilities in the Frankopan Hall, a venue and equipment sure to impress your guests. Mark works directly with organisers in the lead up to your event, ensuring you have the optimum equipment and expertise planned and faultless delivery on the day.
Mark is supported by a small but crucial conference operations team who deliver AV equipment and support for events and ensure your room is comfortable, set to expectation and fully equipped with everything you need.
West Court Reception and the Porters' Lodge
Often the first people you will see on the day, our friendly reception team will warmly welcome you and your guests to Jesus College. The team manage the hotel-standard bedrooms in West Court, which are available year-round for B&B, event and group bookings in the heart of Cambridge city centre. Our reception team efficiently manage reservations, field calls and emails and can offer additional services such as transport bookings and recommending places of interest in the city.
The Porters' Lodge, often called the 'heart of College life', is situated a short walk from West Court reception. Staffed 24 hours a day, most days of the year and with a wealth of knowledge about the College and city of Cambridge, the Porters' Lodge is considered the place to go for all the answers!
Our wider team
Our housekeeping team make sure that the College and accommodation is hygienic, clean and tidy. Working in partnership with the maintenance team, our facilities are consistently and discreetly kept to the highest standards.
There are 27 acres of gardens and grounds at Jesus College, maintained to award winning standards by our Head Gardener Lee de Grammont and his team.
