Promotions for four College Fellows

Jesus College is delighted to announce that four College Fellows have received academic promotions.

Dr Vasco Carvalho, a Reader in Economics and Senior Keynes Fellow has received a Professorship. Dr Carvalho’s research in macroeconomics focuses on production networks and sectoral interdependence.

Dr Stuart Clarke, a Reader in the Chemistry Department, has also received a professorship. Dr Clarke's research explores how molecules can help in a variety of areas from washing your hands to oil recovery.

Dr Mary Laven, a Reader in Early Modern History, has also received a professorship. Dr Laven’s academic interests include the social and cultural history of early modern Europe, especially Italy.

Dr Yaron Peleg, a Kennedy-Leigh Lecturer in Modern Hebrew Studies, has been promoted to the position of Reader. Dr Peleg's academic interests include Jewish and Israel Studies as well as modern literature and film studies.
