Livestream confirmed for sold-out event with bestselling author

The Farsighted event with nonfiction writer and TV presenter Steven Johnson will be livestreamed on Tuesday 22 January from 7.30pm.

Tickets sold out within a few days for the Jesus College Intellectual Forum event Farsighted: How we make decisions that matter the most.

To open up the event to as many people as possible, a livestream will be available on the College YouTube channel. Questions for Steven Johnson can be sent to the @IntellForum Twitter account using the hashtag #farsighted or by email ahead of the event.

Steven Johnson is the bestselling author of books including WonderlandWhere Good Ideas Come From, and The Ghost Map, and the host of the PBS and BBC series How We Got To Now and the podcast American Innovations. His writings delve into the intersection of science and technology within our lives, and have influenced everything from the way political campaigns use the internet, to cutting-edge ideas in urban planning, to the battle against 21st century terrorism. His new book Farsighted examines life's most important decisions and asks how we can make them more effectively, drawing on lessons from cognitive science, military strategy, literature and more.
