Lisa Jardine boat unveiled

A new women's four boat has been unveiled by the Jesus College Boat Club, named after Lisa Jardine, the first woman to become a College Fellow.

Members of Lisa's family were in attendance, including her husband, John Hare, their daughter Rachel Jardine and Rachel's son, Rafe, who did an excellent job of removing the flag from the new boat, which has been kindly donated by the Boat Club Trust.

On her election in 1976, Lisa became the College's first woman Fellow. She was an Honorary Fellow from 2006 until her death in 2015.

Other in attendance at the ceremony included current members of the club and members of the Trust, including Chairman Sir David Wootton. The Boat Club would like to thank the Trust for their generosity and for Lisa's family for helping to mark such a special occasion. The club looks forward to a successful Mays and 2018-19 campaign.
