John Hughes Arts Festival back in person for 2022

The eighth John Hughes Arts Festival returns to College this year from February 18-20.

Open to the public, the annual festival in memory of the much-loved and respected The Rev'd Dr John Hughes, the late Dean of Chapel, offers an open hang gallery, poetry and performance showcase curated under the theme ‘Enchant’.

The festival is founded on John's commitment to openness and his appreciation for the arts in all their forms; in 2015 it was endorsed by Stephen Fry and opened by David Hare.

The committee is excited to build on the festival’s legacy. The rich and diverse line up strives to celebrate both the life of John, and the College’s commitment to and enthusiasm for the arts.

Anyone who wishes to submit their artwork for inclusion in the festival should do so here before January 28.

Other highlights for this year include a drink and draw in the college bar, a pottery workshop and a themed formal.

The full line-up will be announced on the festival’s Instagram and Facebook accounts.

Tickets will be on Eventbrite soon! Watch this space.
