Jesuans awarded New Year's Honours

Congratulations to College Honorary Fellows and alumni who have been recognised in the New Year's Honours list 2018.

Knighthoods have been announced for Richard Long, (Honorary Fellow 2015) CBE artist and sculptor, for services to art; Professor Bernard Silverman (1970 and Honorary Fellow 2003) lately Chief Scientific Adviser, Home Office, for public service and services to science and Dr Andrew Parmley (1983) lately Lord Mayor of London, for services to music, education and civic engagement.

Also decorated, for services to Literature and charity, was Peter Florence (1983) MBE Co-founder and Director, Hay Festival and Professor Richard Sennett (Arthur Marshall visiting Professor - Lent 2015 to October 2017 and now Fellow Commoner) Chair, LSE Cities Programme, for services to design. Both received a Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
