Intellectual Forum Nursing Leadership Series, 2022

The Intellectual Forum offers programmes for a variety of professions, including a range of healthcare-focused workshops, events, and lecture series. In 2022, we were delighted to host a lecture series on nursing leadership, bringing together experts from across Cambridge, the East of England, and the wider UK.

The series involved a range of workshops including:

  • Tuesday 6 September: Susie Hardwick on "Nursing leadership on embedding clinical research into the emergency department."
  • Friday 23 September: Stephanie Fuller on "The importance of nursing leadership in escalation of the deteriorating patient and sepsis triggers."
  • Monday 26 September: Lisa Enoch on "Leading Hybrid Roles in Nursing."
  • Monday 3 October: Jo Moir on "Nursing Leadership and Standardised Care Management for Interventional Cardiovascular Disease."
  • Monday 10 October: Sarah Nolasco on "Different Types of Change in the Healthcare Setting and How to Manage These."
  • Wednesday 19 October: Jackie Marshall-Cyrus on "The Innovation Game: Innovation for Nursing Leaders."
  • Monday 24 October: Ben Bowers on "Anticipatory Prescribing in end-of-life care: appraising the evidence base."
  • Wednesday 2 November: Nikki Jackman on "Leading Infection Control Nursing in the Pandemic."
  • Monday 14 November: Dr Nicola Roberts on ""Nursing leadership in the NHS post-COVID around Infectious Disease and Respiratory."
  • Wednesday 16 November: Carol Anderson on "Are We All Leaders?"
