I’m from Shropshire and I’m coming into my third year reading English. This year I’m studying tragedy and postcolonial papers whilst reading and researching the poetry and plays of Kae Tempest for my dissertation.
I’ve loved my time at Jesus so far and am excited to continue living in such an amazing community of students and staff. I’ve met lots of inspirational people in my time at Cambridge, in the Faculty as well as through spending copious amounts of time in the College cafe – which might be my favourite place in College, apart from the lovely wildflower meadow in North Court. This year I’m taking on the role of Communities Officer on the Student Union Ethical Affairs Campaign, in which I plan to focus on connecting students with local community organisations.
I am looking forward to doing the Telephone Campaign in September because I think it will be a great opportunity to engage with alumni and hear stories of how being at the College has changed, and can continue to change, the lives of students who come here.
