I’m from Cambridgeshire and I just graduated from Jesus College this summer with a degree in History. I’m very excited to be staying at Jesus for another year to complete an MPhil in Early Modern History. My research will focus on the construction of gender through fashion in Florence during the late sixteenth- and early seventeenth-centuries.
During my time as an undergraduate it’s been great to get involved in multiple different areas of College life. I’ve had the opportunity to work with staff, Fellows, and students during my time on the Jesus College Student Union committee. I’ve enjoyed playing a variety of College sports including women’s football, mixed netball, and rowing for the Amazons. I’ve also had lots of fun being a College Ambassador which has recently involved helping with open days, residentials, and delivering history taster sessions.
I’m looking forward to working on the Telephone Campaign again this year. It’s a great opportunity to speak with alumni and hear about their time at Jesus, as well as their life post-Cambridge. I’m glad to play a part in raising funds that will help make Jesus College even better.
