I’m from Newcastle, going into my third and final year reading Human Social and Political Sciences (HSPS) at Jesus College. Last year included two long essays, with one regarding the contemporary nature of neoliberalism and the other interrogating the concept of a post-truth society.
Whilst at Jesus, I have thrown myself into a number of extra-curricular activities. I’m Welfare Officer on the JCSU. I also run a lot, play mixed netball and have been involved in rowing races at College level. Outside of this, I also enjoy sketching and painting.
I’m very much looking forward to talking with Jesuans who may have had a similar experience to my own. Entering my final year, advice about possible careers would definitely be welcomed! Coming from a state comprehensive in the North, I’m also very excited to engage alumni who are equally passionate about improving access and facilities for all students at Jesus.
I’m really looking forward to talking to alumni and seeing the multitude of places a degree from Jesus College could lead me to.
