Sculptures at Jesus College

Jesus College, Cambridge has hosted a series of contemporary sculpture exhibitions since the early 1980s. Its historic courts and well tended lawns provide a surprising and provocative backdrop to some of the most exciting and prominent contemporary sculpture, providing controversy and delight as exemplified by Nina Saunders’ piece Pure Thoughts in 1996.

The College now has an impressive permanent collection including works by John Bellany, Antonio Belotti, Richard Bray, Barry Flanagan, Antony Gormley, Albert Irvin, Richard Long, Diane MacClean, Eduardo Paolozzi and William Turnbull.
